An unannounced inspection was initiated on 2/26/25 and completed on 2/26/25 in response to a complaint received by the licensing office on 2/25/25 relating to allegations of the Code Of Virginia- background check requirements. The inspector reviewed 2 staff records on-site on 2/26/25.
This inspection included document review and interviews.
The preponderance of evidence gathered during the investigation supports the allegation made related to background checks; therefore, the complaint is determined to be valid. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and the violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Two new staff were hired approximately a month ago, and started working in the classrooms alone with the children several days after hire. The completed finger-print letters were not received by the center until 10 days after hire and working with the children.
