An unannounced complaint inspection was initiated on 3/6/25 and completed on 3/6/25 in response to a complaint received by the licensing office on 3/6/25 relating to allegations of non-compliant ratios in the mornings.
This inspection included document review, interviews, and observations.
The preponderance of evidence gathered during the investigation supports the allegation(s); therefore, the complaint is determined to be valid. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and the violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

3Standard 22.1-289.031-A-3-a
Statements obtained during staff interviews verified that this morning, 3-6-25, from 7:45am-8:00am there were 6 infant aged children with 1 staff. During these interviews staff stated that most mornings this week the ratio was not met during this same time period. The required ratio is 1 staff to 4 children.
Plan of Correction: Staff schedules will be adjusted again to ensure compliance during this time period.
Standard 22.1-289.031-A-3-b
Statements obtained during staff interviews verified that this morning, 3-6-25, from 8:00am-8:15am there were 10 waddler (14 months-16 months) and toddler (16months-2 years) aged children with 2 staff. During these interviews staff stated that most mornings this week the ratio was not met during this same time period. The required ratio is 1 staff to 4 children for this mixed age group.
Plan of Correction: Staff schedules will be adjusted again to ensure compliance during this time period.

Statements obtained during staff interviews verified that this morning, 3-6-25, from 7:45am-8:00am there were 10 two year old children with 1 staff. During these interviews staff stated that most mornings this week the ratio was not met during this same time period. The required ratio is 1 staff to 8 children.
