Inspector Notes

An initial subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on June 10, 2024 from approximately 10:05am to 11:00am. There were 2 children present with 2 providers/vendors supervising. The physical plant, policies and procedures, emergency supplies and procedures, and 2 provider/vendor records were reviewed.. There were no child records available for review. Information gathered during the inspection determined areas of non-compliance with applicable regulations or law, and the exit interview was conducted with the provider/vendor.

Based on interview with the vendor there were no child records containing information for the two children in care.

Evidence: No child records were available to review.
Plan of Correction: Child records will be made for each child in care.
Standard 8VAC20-790-360-F
Based on observation and vendor interview, a crib was not provided for a child less than 12 months old.

Evidence:
The vendor stated and showed the inspector that the infant sleeps in a bed, in the bedroom.
Plan of Correction: A crib/play yard will be provided for the child to sleep in.
Standard 8VAC20-790-390-E
Based on staff interviews and observation a nonabsorbent surface for diapering or changing was not used when diapering.

Evidence:
Vendor stated and showed the inspector that the diapers are changed on the bed that the children sleep in.
Plan of Correction: A non-absorbent changing pad will be provided to change diapers and then be able to be sanitized.
