Inspector Notes

An announced initial Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was initiated with the provider on 7/2/24 from 3:30pm to 4:35pm. The inspection was completed on 7/8/2024. There was one household child present with the provider, and the provider reported that no daycare children are currently enrolled at this time. As no children were present or enrolled, standards relating to supervision, care of children, child records, etc. were not able to be observed, but were discussed with the provider as Technical Assistance. The provider record, one household member record, and two pet records were reviewed. The first aid kid and emergency supplies were requested from the provider. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid. The provider is not certified in Medication Administration Training (MAT) and is aware that she cannot give prescription medication without becoming MAT certified. The provider understands that she may only care for up to four daycare children at a time and no more than four children under two-years-old without a license. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Laura Brindle, at laura.brindle@doe.virginia.gov or 540-905-2062.
