Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on November 12, 2024 and the inspection concluded on November 14, 2024 as a part of the conditional licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 12:00 p.m. and ended at 12:45 p.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 2 children present and 1 staff. The inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 0 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, and interviews.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-340-C
During the stated hours of operation, there always shall be one staff member who meets
the qualifications of a program leader or program director and an immediately
available staff member, volunteer or other employee who is at least 16 years of age,
with direct means for communication between the two of them. On November 12, 2024, from approximately 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m., there was only one staff person on site with 2 children in care.
Plan of Correction: A second staff person had been on site, but left to go to a doctors appointment. Two persons will always be present when children are in care.
