An announced, on-site initial inspection was completed on August 19, 2024 The on-site inspection began at 9:30 am and ended at 1:15 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were no children present during the initial inspection and (2) staff. The inspector reviewed (2) staff records. This inspection included

Based on a review of the centers written emergency preparedness plan, the plan has not been developed in consultation with local authorities.
Evidence: The emergency preparedness plan was reviewed, the plan has not been developed in consultation with Arlington County fire.
Plan of Correction: The center will send the emergency preparedness plan to Arlington authorities for review.
Standard 8VAC20-780-550-B
Based on a review of the centers emergency preparedness plan, the plan does not contain procedures to reunite children with their parents and continuity of operations to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency.
Evidence: The emergency preparedness plan was reviewed and is missing the procedures to reunite children with their parents after an evacuation, shelter in place and lockdown, and procedures for the continuity of operations to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency.
Plan of Correction: The center will update the emergency preparedness plan to include all the required procedures.

Evidence: The injury report was reviewed, there is no documentation on how the parent was notified of the child's injuries.
