During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed.

Inspector Notes

An announced, on-site initial inspection was initiated and completed on September 25, 2024. The on-site inspection began at 3:40pm and ended at 5:20pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were zero children present and four staff. The inspector reviewed a sample children?s record, three staff records on site and one staff record electronically on 9/16/24. This inspection included document review, a tour of the facility, interviews, observations, and measurements. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on 10/11/24. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials, insecticides, and pesticides shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
There was a container of disinfectant wipes in the cafeteria that was unlocked. This is a main area that children will occupy.
Plan of Correction: The executive director has ensured that the cleaning products belonging to the school will be out of reach of children.
Standard 8VAC20-780-430-K
Provision shall be made for an individual place for each child's personal belongings.
During the time of the inspection, there were no provisions for individual places for each child's personal belongings.
Plan of Correction: Baskets for belongings have already been purchased.
Standard 8VAC20-780-550-I
A 911 or local dial number for police, fire and emergency medical services and the number of the regional poison control center shall be posted in a visible place.
There were no emergency numbers posted in a visible place at the time of the inspection.
Plan of Correction: The emergency numbers have been posted on a bulletin board with visibility to all.
