Inspector Notes

An announced, on-site, initial subsidy health and safety inspection was initiated on 07/15/2024 and completed on 07/15/2024. The on-site inspection began at 10:00 am and ended at 12:00 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were no children present and 1 caregiver. The inspector reviewed 0 children?s records, 1 caregiver record, and 1 household member record on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the home, interviews, and observations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on 07/29/2024. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Based on record review, and interview, the vendor failed to ensure that household members undergo a background check in accordance with ? 22.1-289.040 of the Code of Virginia and is not the subject of a founded complaint of child abuse or neglect within or outside the Commonwealth.

Based on observation, the provider failed to ensure that running water does not exceed 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
Evidence:
The digital thermometer used to test the water temperature registered the water temperature to be 135 degrees Fahrenheit.
