During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above, to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated and completed on January 28, 2025, as a part of the conditional licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 10:45am and ended at 1:15pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 16 children present and 4 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 7 staff records on-site January 28, 2025. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

REPEAT VIOLATION
Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. Several large bottles of hand sanitizer, a can of disinfectant spray, and disinfectant wipes with a warning label, "Keep out of reach of children" were observed a shelf and were not locked.
Plan of Correction: The center responded with the following: All bottles were removed from the shelf and placed in a locked cabinet the day of the inspection. Staff will ensure that all cleaning materials are locked.
Standard 8VAC20-780-70
For staff hired after March 1, 1996, documentation that two or more references as to character and reputation as well as competency were checked before employment. Staff #1 did not have references in her staff file.
Plan of Correction: The center responded with the following: The references will be completed today and results will be placed in their staff record.
