During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation

Inspector Notes

An announced, on-site initial inspection was initiated and completed on 3/11/25. The inspection began at 10:00 AM and ended at 12:15 PM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were no children present and one caregiver. The inspector reviewed one caregiver/household member record. This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interview, and observation. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five business days from today, which will be the close of business on 3/31/25. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

A landline telephone, excluding a cordless or cell phone, shall be available, operable, and accessible during the family day home's hours of operation. The provider did not have an operating landline telephone.
Plan of Correction: Provider responded with the following: Landline services rendered telephone purchased and installed.
Standard 8VAC20-800-760-A-1
Emergency supplies shall be in the family day home including a first aid kit that contains at a minimum all of the required supplies. The first aid kit did not contain the following supplies: Triangular bandages, thermometer, and tweezers.
Plan of Correction: Provider responded with the following: Have purchased and added a thermometer, tweezers, and ordered the triangular bandages (which arrived today,03-28-25) and inserted covers for the thermometer to insert into the first aid kit.
