During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on September 16, 2025 completed on September 16, 2025. The on-site inspection began at 3:20 p.m. and ended at 4:10 p.m. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were nine children present and two staff. The inspector reviewed five children?s records and two staff records electronically on September 19, 2025. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews and observation.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the deficient practice will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on September 29, 2025. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

The following non-medical emergency supplies shall be required: 1. One working, battery-operated flashlight and 2: One working, battery-operated radio.
The center did not have a flashlight or radio.
Plan of Correction: Both a battery operated flashlight and radio are kept in the front pocket of the emergency backpack. Inspire staff have been reminded where they are.
Standard 8VAC20-780-550-E
Shelter in place procedures shall be practiced a minimum of twice per year.
Shelter in place had only been practiced once during the last year.
Plan of Correction: We will do one in the fall and in the spring of the school year.
Standard 8VAC20-780-550-F
Lockdown procedures shall be practiced at least annually.
Lockdown had not been practiced during the last year.
Plan of Correction: We will practice lockdown procedures each winter moving forward.
