Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site initial inspection was initiated on September 26, 2024 and completed on September 26, 2025. The on-site inspection began at 2:00 PM and ended at 3:25 PM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were no children present and two staff. The inspector reviewed two staff files. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, observations, and measurements.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.

The outdoor area had an electrical box with exposed wires and a shed with a door that was warped and accessible to children.
Plan of Correction: A fence will be installed to block the area so children will not have access.
Standard 8VAC20-780-540-C
The first aid kit did contain the minimum required supplies.

The first aid kit did not include one of the two triangular bandages.
Plan of Correction: Obtain a second triangular bandage.
Standard 8VAC20-780-540-E
The following nonmedical emergency supplies shall be required: one working, battery-operated flashlight and one working, battery-operated radio in each building used by children.

The center did not have a working, battery-operated radio.
Plan of Correction: Purchase a battery operated radio.
