Inspector Notes

An announced, on-site inital monitoring inspection was initiated on December 3, 2024 and completed on December 3, 2024 . The on-site inspection began at 11:20 am and ended at 12:08am . The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, observations and measurements.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on December 13, 2024. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard 8VAC20-800-320-G
Wood burning stoves and fireplaces and associated chimneys shall be inspected annually by a knowledgeable inspector to verify that the devices are properly installed, maintained, and cleaned as needed. Documentation of the inspection and cleaning shall be maintained by the provider.
The applicant did not have documentation of a annual chimney inspection and cleaning.
Plan of Correction: I called around so an inspector can come out and inspect the fire place.
Standard 8VAC20-800-330-A
A landline telephone, excluding a cordless or cell phone, shall be available, operable, and accessible during the family day home's hours of operation. An operable landline telephone is one that does not require electricity to operate. Cordless or cell phones may be used in addition to the landline telephone.

The provider had a cordless phone that requires electricity to operate.
Plan of Correction: I went out and bought a new phone that is not cordless or a cell phone.

The first aid kit shall contain all required emergency supplies. The first aid kit was missing tweezers and antispectic cleaning solutions or pads.
Plan of Correction: I havr bought the missing items and placed them in the first aid kit.
