An announced, on-site initial inspection was initiated on 11/25/2024 and completed on 11/26/2024, as a part of the initial application. The on-site inspection began at 11:30AM and ended at 1:55PM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on 12/17/2024. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard 8VAC20-800-240-A
Areas and furnishings of the family day home, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a safe condition. Unsafe conditions shall include tripping hazards. A tree stump approximately 5 inches above the ground was observed in the front yard.

Children over the age of two shall not have access to stairs with three or more risers that do not have protective barriers or guardrails on each side. The front steps did not have a protective barrier or guardrail on the right side.
