Inspector Notes

An unannounced initial Unlicensed Subsidy Health and Safety (USHSI) inspection was conducted on 10/23/2024. There were no children present during the inspection but according to the vendor, there are two children enrolled at this time.

The home, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There was an adequate supply of books, toys and materials for the children. A total of 2 child records, and the Vendor's record were reviewed to ensure compliance with the health and safety regulations.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-790-260-I
Wood burning stoves and fireplaces and associated chimneys, if used, shall be inspected annually by a knowledgeable inspector to verify that the devices are properly installed, maintained, and cleaned as needed. Documentation of the inspection and cleaning shall be maintained by the vendor.

The vendor did not have documentation of having inspected the woodburning fireplace.
Plan of Correction: I'm still looking for a company to do the inspection. I still don't have a date but next week I'll have it ready.

A 911 or local dial number for police, fire, and emergency medical services and the number of the regional poison control center shall be posted in a visible and conspicuous place.

A list of the required emergency numbers was not available in the premises.
