Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site 60 day focused inspection was initiated on 5/22/25 and completed on the same day, as a part of the conditional licensure period.The on-site inspection began at 10:45 and ended at 11:30. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 6 children present and 4 staff. The inspector reviewed 4 children?s records and 2 staff records during the inspection.
This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-210-A
Program leaders shall be at least 18 years of age, have fulfilled a high school program completion or the equivalent, and meet one of the following a degree in a child related field, A CDA or 24 hours of training in child related subjects.

One staff is working as a lead and does not have the required credentials.
Plan of Correction: We will make sure that the teacher takes 24 hours of training and that we have the documentation for all leads.
Standard 8VAC20-780-500-B
Diaper pad shall be non absorbent and able to be sanitized after diaper changes.

The Diaper pad in the toddler room was covered by a terry cloth cover at the time of the inspection.
Plan of Correction: Removed during the inspection. We will not use.

Food brought from home must be dated.

Lunch boxes do not have dates on them.
Plan of Correction: We will remind the parents to date the lunch boxes.
