During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was completed on 03/06/06 as a part of the licensure period. he on-site inspection began at 11:30am and ended at 1:30pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 9 children present, totaling 25 points and 2 caregivers. The inspector reviewed 4 children?s records and 2 caregiver records. This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, observations and measurements. A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with the licensing inspection. Subsidy standards that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this SHSI, and this single inspection report reflects findings related to licensing standards and subsidy standards. Information gathered during the inspection determined noncompliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Each child's record is required to contain all components. The record for child #2 did not contain 1 of the 2 complete emergency contacts and the first date of attendance. The record for child #3 did not contain 1 of the 2 required emergency contacts.
Plan of Correction: All required information will be documented in the records and all other children's records will be reviewed
Standard 8VAC20-800-830-A
The emergency evacuation procedures shall be practiced monthly with all caregivers and children in care during all shifts that children are in care. The licensee did not practice a fire drill in the month of February.
Plan of Correction: This was an oversight. Two fire drills will be practiced and documented in the month of March.
