Inspector Notes

An announced initial inspection was conducted on 5/19/25 from 9:15 a.m. to 10:05 a.m. with the provider. The provider plans to operate Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The provider will care for up to nine children from three months to six years old. Most, but not all, standards were reviewed as standards related to supervision and programming could not be observed because there were no children in care during the inspection. One staff record and one household member record were reviewed. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid. Medications will not be administered, and the provider understands they must obtain Medication Administration Training (MAT) certification to do so. The home is equipped with a variety of age-appropriate materials. Meals will be provided by the families. Policies and procedures were reviewed. The first aid kit, flashlight, weather band radio, fire extinguisher, and smoke detectors were observed. Emergency numbers, evacuation maps/procedures. A conditional (6 month) license will be recommended. An unannounced follow up inspection will be conducted within 60 days to determine compliance with standards not observed at the initial inspection. If you have questions regarding this inspection, please contact the Licensing Inspector, Beth Velke at beth.velke@doe.virginia.gov or call 804-629-8302.

The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued.
