Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated on 4/8/2026 and completed on 4/8/2026. The on-site inspection began at 9:25am and ended at 10:25am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 24 children present and 7 staff. The inspector reviewed 4 children?s records and 3 staff records. This inspection included document review, a tour of the facility, interviews and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined noncompliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition. Unsafe conditions shall include, but not be limited to, splintered, cracked or otherwise deteriorating wood; chipped or peeling paint; visible cracks, bending or warping, rusting or breakage of any equipment; head entrapment hazards; and protruding nails, bolts or other components that could entangle clothing or snag skin.

Two corners of a new rug are curled up, posing a tripping hazard.
Plan of Correction: We will put tape down, or ice, to smooth the carpet and eliminate the hazard.
