Inspector Notes

A subsidy health and safety inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 3/30/26 from 9:40 am to 10:35 am. There were no daycare in care. The inspector reviewed 3 children?s records and 1 caregiver's record on-site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, and observations. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-790-180-B
The vendor shall maintain a written hard copy record of daily attendance that documents the arrival and departure of each child in care as it occurs.
The provider stated that Child #1, Child #2 and Child #3 attended daycare for three days in March. The provider did not record attendance for those days.
Plan of Correction: Attendance will be recorded.
Standard 8VAC20-790-190-B
Children's records do not contain complete information.
Child #1, Child #2 and Child #3's records are missing the following information: parent's name, home and work numbers, two emergency contact information for each child, persons authorized to pick up, written authorization for emergency medical care for each child.
Plan of Correction: Complete information will be obtained and kept in file.
Standard 8VAC20-790-280-A-3
The water temperature for the water in sinks near toilet and that are supplied with running warm water should not exceed 120 F.
The water temperature in the sink used by children was at 126 F.
Plan of Correction: The water temperature will be adjusted.
Standard 8VAC20-790-390-E
The diapering surface was not being cleaned and sanitized.
The provider stated that soap and water was not being used to clean the diapering surface. The provider was only sanitizing the surface.
Plan of Correction: I will get a bottle of soap and water to the cleaning process.
