Inspector Notes

An announced, on-site initial inspection was initiated and completed on August 22, 2025. The on-site inspection began at 10:00 am and ended at 11:20 am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were no children present. The inspector reviewed caregiver/household member records on site. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, and interviews.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five (5) business days from today, which will be the close of business on September 3, 2025 . A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard 8VAC20-800-320-H
All flammable and combustible materials such as, but not limited to, matches, lighters, lighter fluid, kerosene, turpentine, oil and grease products, aerosol cans, and alcohol shall be stored in an area inaccessible to children.

There was a cabinet on the floor in the kitchen area containing alcohol that was not stored in an area inaccessible to children.
Plan of Correction: Caregiver immediately removed items to high cabinets.

The following emergency supplies shall be in the family day home, accessible
to outdoor play areas, on field trips, in vehicles used for transportation and
wherever children are in care.
The first aid kit did not contain the triangular bandages and first aid instructional manual
