Plan of Correction: Parent had previously been asked for updated immunization records and was called again at the time of inspection to expedite the forms.

A case containing a pair of wireless Airpod ear buds was observed in an accessible storage unit located inside of the bathroom between the two-year old classrooms. These are a choking hazard and pose potential injury from the lithium-ion battery if swallowed.

Plan of Correction: The Airpods were immediately handed to the teacher to lock up in a cabinet. After inspection, the teachers were all notified that Airpods are a choking hazard and are not allowed in the classroom.

Medication shall be labeled with the child's name.
An over-the-counter medication for child 1 was not labeled with the child's name on the box containing the medication.

Plan of Correction: Although the medication was in a ziplock bag with the child's name, we then wrote the child's name on the medication bottle itself right after the inspection.

When an authorization for medication expires, the parent shall be notified that the medication needs to be picked up within 14 days or the parent must renew the authorization. Medications that are not picked up by the parent within 14 days will be disposed of by the center by either dissolving the medication down the sink or flushing it down the toilet

Plan of Correction: Medication was being stored for the parent to pick up and was stored away from all current medications. Parent picked up the medication and will return once they receive a new form from the doctor.
