Inspector Notes

An announced, on-site initial inspection began and was on completed on 7/8/2025, as a part of the licensure process. The on-site inspection began at 10:19 and ended at 11:32. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. As this was an initial inspection there were not any children or staff present. The inspector reviewed skeleton records for future children and staff records. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, observations and measurements.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Please complete the plan of correction (POC) and date to be corrected sections for each violation cited on the violation notice. Specify how the violation will be or has been corrected. Submit your POC within five business days from today, which will be the close of business on 7/16/2025. A POC submitted after this date will not appear on the public website.

Standard 8VAC20-780-270-A
Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a clean, safe and operable condition.
1 ? Throughout the building the floors have areas of grim, dust, paint; dried and dust particles. These areas make the floors appear unclean.
2 ? Due to renovation throughout the building there is a thin layer of dust on tables, counter tops and cabinet fronts and chairs.
3 ? Replacement windows have unfinished seals and sills within reach of children.
4 ? In the 3 year-old-room there is a plastic garbage bag covering a styrofoam casing, behind the toilet and within reach of children. The styrofoam is intended to fill the space between the toilet back and the wall to prevent breakage. However, this set poses an unsafe condition.
5 ? In the school age room there is trip hazard created by replacement tile that is not level with all the other tile in the room.
Plan of Correction: 1 - Flooring company completed job today
2 - Cleaning company is coming on Friday
3 - Finishing up window trims Thursday
4 - . Casing is removed and will be replaced with wooden box
5 - The area has been sealed with potty for a smooth transition removing the trip hazard
