Children?s hands shall be washed with soap and running water or disposable wipes before and after each meals or snacks and after toileting.
In the Dino?s classroom (toddlers), one child?s hand were not washed after a diaper change and one child?s hands were not washed after eating.
Plan of Correction: Plan of Correction -Going Forward
1. Enforcement of Proper Handwashing Times
All staff and children will follow proper handwashing procedures using soap and running water at the following required times:
Children
? Before and after eating meals or snacks
? After toileting or diapering
? After coming in from outside play

Staff
Staff will wash their hands:
? Before and after helping a child use the toilet
? Before and after diaper changes
? After using the toilet
? After any contact with body fluids
? Before feeding or assisting a child with feeding
? Before preparing or serving food or beverages

Running water and soap will always be used unless water is temporarily unavailable, in which case a germicidal cleansing agent will be used according to manufacturer
instructions.

2. Classroom Monitoring & Accountability
? Classroom staff will visually verify that handwashing is occurring after toileting, diapering, eating, and coming in from outside.
? Administration will conduct weekly observations to ensure classroom practices align with licensing standards.

3. Staff Training & Documentation
? All staff will participate in a 1 :1 meeting with the director on proper handwashing techniques and required compliance times.
? Staff will sign documentation acknowledging the training and understanding of the procedures.
? New staff will receive this training during on boarding before independently
supervising children.

4.Ongoing Reinforcement
? Handwashing posters will be placed at all sinks to provide step-by-step reminders.
? Administration will immediately address any lapse in procedure. Staff who fail to follow required handwashing procedures will receive corrective coaching or
disciplinary action, depending on severity and frequency.
