Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. A can of wood stain was in an unlocked cabinet in the bathroom with the label ?Keep out of reach of children.?
Plan of Correction: Response from the center:
The hazardous material found inside the cabinet of the staff restroom has been disposed of. I would like to clarify that this restroom is not utilized by the children. Additionally, I would like to confirm that during this time, staff #1 maintained proper sight and sound supervision of the two children while in their classroom, which is situated in a separate area from the staff restroom.

During the stated hours of operation, there always shall be on the premises when one or more children are present one staff member who meets the qualifications of a program leader or program director and an immediately available staff member. Staff #1 was the only staff in the center for approximately 30 minutes before another staff member arrived.
Plan of Correction: Response from the center:
We acknowledge staff #1 was only staff member present in the building for approximately 30 minutes supervising two children. We would like to highlight that staff #1 has over 24 months of experience in childcare center programs and has received more than 24 hours of specialized training, including CPR and First Aid.
