Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was initiated on 03/11/2026 and completed on 03/17/2026 as a part of the conditional licensure period, The on-site inspection began at 3:00 PM and ended at 4:15PM. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 24 children present and 2 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records onsite. This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, interviews, observations and measurements.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program

Standard 8VAC20-780-40-M
The center is required to keep a current list of all known allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions in each room or area where children are present. The list must be dated and kept confidential.

The list in the closet was not dated.
Plan of Correction: The staff will date the list and ensure that it is updated.
Standard 8VAC20-780-60-A-8
A written care plan is required for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and the steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.

Child #5, who has been enrolled for 5 months, has a diagnosed food allergy and did not have a written care plan in their file.
Plan of Correction: The staff will request a allergy care plan and will monitor all records.
