During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. If there were any serious injuries or fatalities related to a violation, the details will be included in the description of the violation.

Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site initial inspection was initiated on September 11, 2025, and completed on September 11, 2025. The on-site inspection began at 10:00 am and ended at 11:30 am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were no children present and one caregiver. The inspector reviewed two caregiver/household member(s) records on site.
This inspection included documentation review, a tour of the facility, interviews, and observations.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-800-730-D
Medication, except for those prescriptions designated otherwise by a written physician's order, including refrigerated medication and medications for caregivers and household members, shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. Medications for household members were observed unlocked, in a kitchen cabinet.
Plan of Correction: Per the provider: I will install a child safety latch on the cabinet.
Standard 8VAC20-800-760-A-1
All required emergency supplies shall be in the family day home, accessible to outdoor play areas, on field trips, in vehicles used for transportation and wherever children are in care. The first aid kit did not contain the required second triangular bandage and a first aid instructional manual.
Plan of Correction: Per the provider: I will purchase the missing supplies for the first aid kit.
