Inspector Notes

An announced initial inspection was conducted on 10/14/2025 as a part of the new application process. The on-site inspection began at 11:00am and ended at 1:30pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews and measurements. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Areas and equipment of the center, inside and outside, shall be maintained in a safe condition. The children's cubbies throughout the center were not secured, posing a tipping hazard. In the 2year-old room an outlet has no sealing.
Plan of Correction: All cubbies will be secured and the outlet will be sealed.
Standard 8VAC20-780-280-B
Hazardous substances such as cleaning materials, insecticides, and pesticides shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. There was a cleaning product in an unlocked bathroom cabinet below the sink.
Plan of Correction: A safety lock will be placed on the cabinet to prevent access by children.
