The operational responsibilities of the licensee shall include ensuring that the center's activities are maintained in compliance with the center's own policies and procedures as required by the standards. The center did not follow their policy when they did not pick up a child from their elementary school after they had agreed to do so with the parent. The center did not update the attendance sheet on the bus and the driver did not inquire with the elementary school staff when the child was not brought to the pick-up area. The parent called the center to inform them that their child was not picked up from the school and the bus returned to the school to retrieve the child shortly after they originally left.
