Inspector Notes

An announced initial inspection was completed on 03/05/2026. The on-site inspection began at 11:00am and ended at 2:00pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. This inspection included: document review, tour of the facility, interviews, observations and measurements. Information gathered during the inspection determined noncompliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-280-B
Hazardous substances shall be kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. There were plug-in air fresheners in the outlets in the bathrooms and disinfectant wipes on the table in the kitchenette area.
Plan of Correction: All plug-in air fresheners will be removed from the center and all chemicals will be kept in a locked area where children do not have access.
Standard 8VAC20-780-540-C
First aid kits shall have all required components. The center's first aid kit did not contain more than 1 triangular bandage, antiseptic and a working thermometer.
Plan of Correction: The owner will ensure all required items are placed in the center's first aid kit.
Standard 8VAC20-780-540-D
The center shall have all required emergency supplies. The center did not have a working, battery-operated radio.
Plan of Correction: The owner will ensure all required items are placed in the center's emergency kit.
