Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site initial inspection was initiated on and completed on 3/5/2026. The on-site inspection began at 9:30am and ended at 11:25 am. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were no children enrolled. inspector reviewed (5) caregiver/household members records.
This inspection included document review, tour of the facility, and interviews.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-800-350-E
Hot water at taps available to children shall be maintained within a range of 105?F to 120?F.
The hot water tap in the childcare bathroom measured 129.8 degrees.
Plan of Correction: The water temperature will be lowered and monitored until it reaches 120 degrees.
Standard 8VAC20-800-760-A-1
The following emergency supplies shall be in the family day home and include a digital thermometer.
The first aid kit did not contain a digital thermometer.
Plan of Correction: A thermometer will be purchased and placed in the first aid kit.
