Inspector Notes
An unannounced health and safety inspection was conducted on June 27, 2022, to determine the center's compliance with the health and safety standards. The inspection began at 9:45 AM and concluded at 11:48 AM. There were 24 children present, with 7 staff supervising. The center's director was available to answer questions throughout the inspection. During the tour, the inspector observed the children participating in a writing activity, circle time, playing outside, and interacting with peers and staff. The inspector observed all 4 classrooms, playground, kitchen and restrooms. The classrooms are equipped with age and stage appropriate materials. The center's first aid kit and non-medical emergency supplies were inspected and found complete. Liability insurance, health inspection, and drills were all in compliance. A total of 5 child records, and 5 staff records were reviewed. There were no violations issued during today?s inspection.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
