Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on May 22, 2024 , from 9:00am-11:00am. At the time of entrance, 79 children were in care with 16 supervising staff members present. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 5 staff records. Children were observed during morning snack time, centers, handwashing, diaper changing, engaged in group activities and outdoor play time. Areas of non-compliance are identified on the violation notice. Repeat violations were found and are identified within this report.

Repeat Violation

Based on observation, hazardous substances such as cleaning materials were not kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence:
1. In the three year old classroom in the bathroom, a bottle of cleaning solution and a container of sanitizing spray was located in a high cabinet not locked up.
Plan of Correction: The cabinet was locked at the time of the inspection.

Based on observation, children's hands were not washed with soap and running water or disposable wipes before and after eating meals or snacks.
Evidence:
1. In the infant classroom, one child's hands were not washed after eating morning snack.
Plan of Correction: The staff will review and retrain on handwashing procedures.
