Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.

A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on 1/19/2022. The director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 165 children present, ranging in ages from Toddler to 5 years old, with 43 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 12 staff records were reviewed.

Based on staff record review, one staff did not complete the Virginia Department of Education-sponsored orientation course within 90 calendar days of employment.
Evidence:
1. Staff #7 (Date of hire 9/08/2021) had not completed the Virginia Department of Education-sponsored orientation course within 90 calendar days of employment.
Plan of Correction: The staff member is in the process
of completing the orientation
course.
Going forward, all new staff needing
to take the orientation course will
take it within the first two weeks of
employment as part of the
onboarding process.
