Inspector Notes

A complaint was received in the licensing office on July 7, 2023 regarding infants not receiving daily activities for infants. On July 19, 2023 an on-site investigation was conducted. Interviews were conducted and observations were made.

Based on the preponderance of evidence gathered, there no violations were cited for the allegation. A non-complain violation was cited.

Based on observation and interviews, staff did not follow operational responsibilities of the licensee by ensuring that the center's activities, services, and facilities are maintained in compliance with these standards, the center's own policies and procedures.
Evidence:
1. Staff did not follow the center's policies and procedures that Infants, who cannot turn themselves over and are awake shall be placed on their stomachs a total of 30 minutes each day to facilitate upper body strength and to address misshapen head concerns. Time is to be broken up into 2 or 3 times a day to obtain that total amount per day.
2. In review of 9 infant daily communication forms, staff did not document 30 mins and 15 minutes of tummy time on the form. Staff did document bottle feeding and diaper changing.
Plan of Correction: Checking that tummy time is recorded both morning and afternoon Office checks morning around noon and afternoon follow morning has been correctly documented since 7/20/23
