Inspector Notes

An unannounced complaint inspection was conducted on 2/14/2024 in response to a complaint that was received by the Virginia Department of Education, Office of Child Care Health and Safety. Interviews were conducted with staff relating to allegations child abuse. Based upon a preponderance of evidence, the information gathered during the investigation does not support the allegations of child abuse, and the complaint is determined to be not valid. Please complete the columns for 'description of action to be taken' and 'date to be corrected' for each violation cited on the violation notice, and then return a signed and dated copy to the licensing office within 5 business days. Based on review, the facility did not ensure that children's records were maintained with reh required minimum information.
Evidence: reviewed 4 children's records and found that Child 2 did not have documentation of a second emergency contact.
Plan of Correction: Notified moms that the dads could not be the emergency contact person. Both moms provided alternate emergency contacts.
