Cots used by children during the designated rest period shall have linens consisting of a top cover and a bottom cover. At the time of the inspection, there were eight children who did not have a top cover during nap time.
Plan of Correction: The center responded with the following: Center management placed an order for additional nap linens last week. Parents will also be reminded to bring top and bottom nap linens.

Documentation of at least 2 references to character, reputation, and competency are to be checked prior to employment. Staff 1, who has been working at the center for over two years, did not have any completed reference verifications on file.
Plan of Correction: The center responded with the following: Staff 1 was a transfer from another Kindercare center and references must not have been sent over with the file. Going forward, center management will ensure references are completed before hire and that all required documents are obtained for transfers before they begin work.
