Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 10/5/2023 from 10:26 am to 12:41 pm. There were 43 children in care, ages two months to four years, in four groups under the care of ten staff. The Licensing Inspector reviewed five children?s records, four staff records, and other program records. The children were observed playing, doing arts and crafts, and (babies) being cuddled and napping.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on observation, the center failed to be maintained in a clean, safe, and operable condition.

EVIDENCE:
In the Peeps classroom, there was a hole in the wall approximately one inch by one inch, about six inches off the floor, near the door. The hole was accessible to children.
Plan of Correction: The director will have the hole repaired.

Based on observation, the center failed to have a diapering surface that was non-absorbent.

EVIDENCE:
The diaper pad in the infant room had a split seam at the edge, making it no longer non-absorbent.
Plan of Correction: The pad will be replaced with another one.
