Inspector Notes

An unannounced on-site renewal inspection was initiated on 03/12/2025 and completed on 03/12/2025. The on-site inspection began at 10:12 am and ended at 1:20 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 36 children present and 5 staff. The inspector reviewed 6 children's records and 3 staff records on-site.

Standard 8VAC20-780-40-M
The center shall maintain, in a way that is accessible to all staff who work with children, a current written list of all children's allergies, sensitivities, and dietary restrictions documented in the allergy plan required in 8VAC20-780-60 A 8.

The allergy list maintained in all classrooms did not include a diagnosed food allergy for child 1.
Plan of Correction: The program director stated that child 1's food allergy will be added to the allergy list.
Standard 8VAC20-780-60-A
Each center shall ensure that children's records contain all of the required elements.

There was no written allergy care plan for child 1 who has a diagnosed food allergy according to medical documentation on file.
Plan of Correction: The program director stated that the parent of child 1 will be asked to provide a written food allergy care plan from the child's physician. The parent was contacted during the inspection to request this documentation.
