Inspector Notes

A monitoring/renewal/complaint inspection was conducted on 7/7/2022 . There were 30 children present, ranging in ages from 2 yrs to school age, with 5 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 4 children's records and three staff records were reviewed.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program and discussed with the program director during the exit interview.

Based upon observation and staff interview, the facility has not ensured that areas and equipment outside of the facility are maintained to be safe.
Evidence:
There I are several areas on the toddler playground where poison ivy vines have grown through the fencing.
Staff 1 acknowledged that the poison ivy vines are within reach of children on the playground.
Plan of Correction: The facility responded with the following:
All poison ivy will be removed from within reach of the children. Routine inspections will be conducted o ensure that no poison ivy or other vines are growing into the playground areas.
