Inspector Notes

An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on February 5, 2024, from 11:45am to approximately 2pm. There were 25 children and 8 staff members present. The Inspector reviewed six children?s records and fifteen staff and board member?s records. The Inspector observed the interaction of staff and children throughout the inspection. Children were observed during lunch, handwashing, and nap. First aid kits and emergency preparedness documents and supplies were observed. Medications were observed. The transportation vehicle for children before and after school was observed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and a violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program. The violation was discussed at the exit interview with the center director and assistant director. The inspection concluded on 2/05/24.

Based on record review and interview, it was determined that the center did not ensure that at least every two years from the date of the initial screening or testing, staff members shall obtain and submit the results of a follow-up tuberculosis screening.
Evidence:
Staff #1 has an expired tuberculosis test with the most recent testing date of October 18, 2020.
Plan of Correction: The center responded with the following: Staff #1 will obtain a new tuberculosis screening this week and will place the results in their record.
