Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on-site on 11/16/2022 and concluded with an electronic record review on 11/21/2022. There were 25 children, ages 3 years-5 years, and 6 staff members providing direct supervision present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, staff qualifications and trainings, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programs, special care provisions and emergencies and special services. The children were observed during story time and meal time. A total of 5 children?s records, 5 staff records, and 1 medication were reviewed. The inspector discussed the following with the provider: outdoor time attendance and children?s records. The inspector arrived for the inspection at 9:15 am and departed at 11:45 am.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation noticed issued to the provider.

Based on observation and discussion with staff, the center failed to ensure that children?s hands shall be washed with soap and running water or disposable wipe before and after eating meals and snack.
Evidence: Children were observed returning to activities without washing hands after eating morning snack. Staff 3 confirmed they were not aware of the requirement.
