Inspector Notes
An unannounced subsidy health and safety inspection was conducted on 01/26/2023 from 11:40 am - 2:00 pm. At the time of entrance there were 54 children in care with 9 teaching staff. The children ranged in age from infants - four years.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Based on record review and interview, the vendor failed to ensure that all staff who work directly with children shall have within 90 days of the date of employment current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) appropriate to the ages of children in care. The training shall include an in-person competency demonstration.
Evidence:

2. Staff 2, hire date 09/19/2022, lacks certification in CPR.
3. The CPR certification for staff 3 expired on 11/21/2022.
4. Administrative staff verified that these staff did not have current CPR certification.
