Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:00am-10:15am. There were 67 children directly supervised by 16 staff. The physical plant, 5 staff records, 5 children?s records, medications, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play, reading books, playing outside, and singing. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for the children in care. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Based on review of staff records, not all staff submitted to background checks every five years from their first day of employment.
Evidence
Staff #1 (date of hire 2/14/2019) has not submitted a new central registry search or fingerprint search every five years. Current searches expired 2/2019.
Plan of Correction: Staff will have the background checks completed ASAP. Results will be forwarded to the inspector when received.
