Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on September 29 2023 between 10:30am and 12:15pm. There were 21 children in the direct care of 6 staff members. Children were observed playing on the playground, participating in fine motor activities, building, and working on art projects. A sampling of child and staffing records was reviewed. The physical space, the emergency plan, and supervision were observed and inspected. Violations are listed on the violation notice. Based on observation, the center did not ensure that hazardous substances are kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Evidence: Cleaning spray bottles were stored in a room that children are not regularly in. The room is not locked and can be opened. The cleaning supplies were stored approximately 8 feet from the ground. The requirement is that all cleaning supplies are in a locked area.
Plan of Correction: We will move the cleaning supplies out of the room.
