Inspector Notes

This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A virtual renewal inspection was conducted on 6/21/21. The director was contacted by email to initiate the inspection. There were 32 children and 3 staff present.

The information gathered during the inspection determined two violations with applicable standards or law.

Standard 63.2(17)-1721.1-A
Based on interview and a review of two board officer's files, it was determine that one officer had not obtained a repeat central registry finding every five years.
Evidence:
The central registry finding for Person A is dated 6/13/2015.
Plan of Correction: The repeat background check was obtained on 6/22/21.
Standard 63.2(17)-1721.1-B-2
Based on interview and a review of two board officer's files, it was determined that one board officer did not have a fingerprint background check on file within 30 days of becoming a board officer.
Evidence:
Person A became a board officer in early 2020 and to date there was no fingerprint background check on file.
Plan of Correction: The fingerprint background check was obtained on 6/23/21.
