Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 2/7/2024 from 1:40pm to 3:20pm. There were 35 (3-5 years) directly supervised by 6 staff. The physical plant, 3 staff records, 5 children?s records, 1 child's medications and medication authorization records, evacuation drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed participating in group play and activities, socializing, interacting with staff. Hand-washing procedures were also observed. There was a sufficient supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. There was an adequate number of staff with current certification in MAT, CPR and First Aid, as well as DHO training. Staff-to-child ratios were in compliance. The center was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report. Based on observation, the facility did not ensure that hazardous substances are kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.
Evidence: observed an unlocked cabinet with Clorox wipes and hand sanitizer, 2 air fresheners, and saline solution and all marked keep out of reach of children on shelves accessible to children in the Preschool room.
