Inspector Notes

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 11/8/2023. There were 20 children, ages 3 years-5 years and 4 staff present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, personnel, environment and equipment, care of children, preventing the spread of disease, emergencies and nutrition. Medications were observed during the inspection. A total of 3 children?s records and 5 staff records were reviewed. The children were observed during nap time and active time on the playground. The inspector arrived for the inspection at 12:33pm and departed the center at 1:10pm.

Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the provider.

Based on observation, the center failed to ensure that hazardous substances, such as cleaning materials, were kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children.

Evidence: Licensing staff observed Great Value Disinfecting Wipes on the counter by the window next to the tables in the kitchen where meals are served to children. No children were observed in the area but it was accessible to children.
Plan of Correction: Provider will lock up cleaning materials using a safe locking method.
