Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site renewal inspection was completed on 01/28/2025, as a part of the licensure period. The on-site inspection began at 2:30 pm and ended at 3:30 pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 3 children present and 2 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children?s records and 2 staff records.This inspection included a document review, tour of facility, interviews, observations and measurements. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-800-280
Potentially poisonous substances, materials and supplies such as, but not limited to, cleaning agents, disinfectants, deodorizers, plant care chemicals, pesticides, and petroleum distillates shall be stored away from food in areas inaccessible to children.

There was a aerosol can of air freshener, insecticide, and disinfectant accessible in the restroom that the children could access.
Plan of Correction: Chemicals were relocated to an area that was inaccessible to children in care.

Documentation of additional immunizations is required once every six months for children under the age of two years. '

Child #3, 31 months old, last documented immunization was over 15 months ago.
Plan of Correction: Provider requested updated immunization record from parents.
