During the inspection, the inspector reviewed the areas listed above, to include standards found out of compliance during the previous inspection. Unless otherwise noted as a violation within this inspection report, the provider was in compliance with the standards reviewed. Inspector Notes

An unannounced, on-site monitoring inspection was initiated and completed on 5/27/25. The on-site inspection began at 11:10am and ended at 1:15pm. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas listed above. There were 21 children present and 5 staff. The inspector reviewed 5 children's records and 5 staff records on-site. This inspection included document review, a tour of the facility, interviews and observations. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law, and violations are documented on the violation notice issued to the program.

Standard 8VAC20-780-260-A
The center shall provide an annual fire inspection report from the appropriate fire official having jurisdiction. The fire inspection for the center is overdue by a month and a half.
Plan of Correction: The center responded with the following: This was an oversight due to the school's maintenance man being out on extended leave, as he is the one who contacts the fire marshal to schedule the annual inspections. The fire marshal will be contacted today to schedule the fire inspection.
Standard 8VAC20-780-510-I
Prescription medication may be administered as long as the medication is maintained in the original, labeled container. There is an emergency medication for a child being stored at the center that was not in it's original, labeled container.
Plan of Correction: The center responded with the following: Medication will be going home with the parents on the last day of school next week. The school nurse will ensure all medication is brought in it's original and labeled container at the beginning of the new school year in the fall.
